DIGI MEDIA at MIPCOM 2026: Connecting Content, Markets and New Opportunities

In short
In October 2026, the DIGI MEDIA team took part in MIPCOM in Cannes, France, from 12 to 15 October. MIPCOM is one of the leading international markets for television and entertainment content. It brings together content owners, distributors, broadcasters and streaming platforms.
During the event, our team met industry professionals to discuss international projects, localization, distribution and new partnerships across markets.
Who represented DIGI MEDIA
Three people represented DIGI MEDIA in Cannes: Sule Laksa, who leads international projects and partnerships; Igors Djačenko, CEO of DIGI MEDIA; and Guntars Kapostins, who leads marketing and also works across business development, innovation and new projects.
Each brought a different perspective to the event, from international project coordination and strategic growth to business development and new opportunities.
What we took away from MIPCOM 2026
- International content creates opportunities across markets. Reaching audiences in different countries needs an understanding of local markets and the right partners to help content travel.
- Long-term partnerships are essential. Strong relationships with content owners, distributors and platforms create collaboration beyond single projects.
- Localization is part of the international strategy. Language, cultural context and production requirements all matter when content is prepared for new audiences.
- Technology continues to shape the industry. New tools improve workflows, while quality control and human expertise remain important to the final result.
- Every market has its own requirements. Expanding internationally means understanding each territory and finding solutions that work for each audience.
Three DIGI MEDIA perspectives
Sule Laksa — International Projects and Partnerships
For Sule, the most valuable part of the work is the international and collaborative nature of the industry. Every project brings different content, markets and challenges, and new chances to find the right people, solutions and workflows across languages and territories.
At MIPCOM, her focus was on meeting potential partners, learning about upcoming projects and exploring opportunities in localization, dubbing, production and distribution.
Igors Djačenko — CEO
Igors looks at international opportunities from a strategic perspective, with a focus on sustainable growth, business development and market expansion. He values finding the right opportunities, shaping effective partnership models and aligning business interests for long-term value.
At MIPCOM, his focus was on developing strategic relationships and finding collaborations with strong potential for long-term growth.
Guntars Kapostins — Marketing, Business Development and Innovation
For Guntars, the most interesting part of the work is connecting creativity, technology and business. He focuses on international partnerships, new markets and services, and on turning ideas into practical projects.
At MIPCOM, he was particularly interested in meeting content owners, distributors and platforms to explore opportunities for DIGI MEDIA’s localization services across Europe and film distribution in the Baltics.
Looking ahead
MIPCOM 2026 gave our team the chance to meet industry professionals, exchange perspectives and explore areas for collaboration.
For DIGI MEDIA, international growth is about more than entering new markets. It is about lasting partnerships, understanding the needs of each project and bringing the right expertise together to help content reach audiences across borders.
We look forward to continuing these conversations. If you plan to bring your content to new markets, explore our localization and dubbing services or send us a brief.
