Content Security

Security integrated throughout the production lifecycle

A TPN Next-Gen Gold audiovisual localization and production hub providing secure, centralized delivery across 48+ languages.

DIGI MEDIA achieved TPN Next-Gen Gold in July 2026, reflecting an independently assessed security framework for handling valuable, unreleased and commercially sensitive content.

Security runs from source asset intake and localization to recording, post-production and final delivery. Our approach combines governance, people, physical protection and technical security controls designed to protect client content throughout its lifecycle.

What TPN Next-Gen Gold means

TPN is the Motion Picture Association’s industry initiative for content security.

For DIGI MEDIA, content security is not a separate step added to production. It is incorporated into how content is received, accessed, processed, stored, transferred and ultimately removed or returned.

Under the TPN Next-Gen framework, Gold Shield status reflects completion and review of applicable MPA Content Security Best Practice remediation requirements within the assessed environment.

Production lifecycle

Secure from intake to delivery

Five controlled stages. The same requirements apply at each stage of the lifecycle.

STAGE 01

Secure Intake

Security begins before content enters production.

  • Source media, scripts, metadata and other client assets are received through controlled workflows.
  • Incoming digital content is handled through managed transfer processes and security checks before entering production environments.
  • Where physical assets are involved, their receipt, movement and shipment are controlled and traceable.
STAGE 02

Controlled Access

Access to content, systems and restricted areas is based on job role, project responsibility and business need.

  • Individual identities, role-based access, least-privilege principles and authentication controls limit access to authorized personnel.
  • Access is formally provisioned during onboarding, reviewed during its lifecycle, and removed as part of offboarding or role changes.
  • Privileged and externally accessible environments are subject to stronger authentication requirements.
STAGE 03

Secure Production

Content is protected while work is being performed.

  • Production and content environments are separated from general-purpose, external and other non-production environments through appropriate technical and workflow controls.
  • Corporate systems follow defined security configuration requirements, unnecessary services and access are restricted, and production endpoints are protected against malware and unauthorized use.
  • Content movement between external and internal environments follows controlled workflows designed to prevent uncontrolled transfer of client assets, with dedicated content-transfer processes, authorization requirements and content segregation applied where appropriate.
  • Client assets are separated according to project, access and workflow requirements, and access is limited to personnel and systems authorized for the relevant work.
  • Security-relevant activity is logged and monitored, including authentication, network, server, storage and transfer events. Alerts and logs support detection, investigation and response to suspicious or unauthorized activity.
STAGE 04

Human + Technology Control

Technical safeguards combined with individual accountability.

  • Relevant personnel are subject to confidentiality requirements and security policies, with security responsibilities integrated into onboarding and offboarding processes.
  • Security awareness training is provided during onboarding and refreshed regularly, with additional training appropriate to individual roles and technologies.
  • Personnel working with sensitive content follow defined content-handling requirements, and pre-release project information must not be disclosed publicly without authorization.
  • Appropriate personnel screening is performed where applicable and permitted by law.
  • Supplier relationships include appropriate confidentiality, security, incident-response, continuity and data-handling requirements, with outsourcing or subcontracting managed according to contractual and client requirements.
AI / ML

AI and machine learning

AI and machine-learning technologies are governed as part of the same security framework, subject to defined security, legal and client requirements. AI/ML data sources and integrity are reviewed, use of AI/ML applications with client content requires appropriate client approval, and external models, datasets or similar resources are subject to security checks before being introduced into controlled environments.

STAGE 05

Secure Delivery

The same controls continue through the final stage of production.

  • Completed assets are delivered using authorized transfer methods and controlled channels, with access limited to intended recipients.
  • Sensitive content is protected during transmission and storage using industry-standard encryption.
  • Encryption keys and credentials are managed separately from the protected content and restricted to authorized personnel.
  • Client content and related production assets are subject to defined lifecycle controls covering storage, retention, tracking, return and secure destruction where applicable.
Security framework

Governance, systems and premises

DIGI MEDIA maintains an information-security management framework supported by formal policies, defined responsibilities, risk management and regular security review.

Security risks are evaluated across workflows, people, systems, applications, infrastructure and client assets. Risks are classified, tracked and reviewed when significant changes occur, with security considerations incorporated into new systems, technologies and production workflows.

01

Technical security

Secure system configuration, endpoint protection, malware protection, controlled administrative access, centralized security logging, secure authentication, identity and access management, corporate email protection and controls for externally accessible services.

02

Network security

Segmentation and controlled connectivity. Production and content environments are separated from general office, transfer and external networks as appropriate. Firewall controls, intrusion detection and prevention, web filtering and secure wireless configurations reduce exposure to unauthorized or malicious activity.

03

Remote access

Governed through controlled and authenticated connections, with access limited according to role and business requirement. Remote working environments are subject to the same core requirements for authentication, endpoint security, authorization, confidentiality and secure handling of client content.

04

Encryption and keys

Sensitive client content is protected with encryption during storage and transmission. Cryptographic keys, passwords and other sensitive authentication material are subject to controlled access, defined management procedures and separation of duties.

05

Vulnerability and patch management

DIGI MEDIA maintains formal vulnerability-management and patch-management processes. Relevant internal and external systems, production environments and exposed services are assessed for vulnerabilities, with identified issues reviewed and remediated according to risk. Independent penetration testing is performed on relevant critical infrastructure and applications, including testing following significant changes where applicable.

06

Change management

Changes to systems, applications, networks and security controls follow a controlled process that considers security impact, testing, approval, documentation and appropriate recovery or rollback planning.

07

Physical protection

Access to production, server and other restricted areas is limited to authorized personnel. Physical security includes controlled entry and exit, visitor management, electronic access controls, monitoring of restricted areas, alarm controls and management of physical access credentials, with environmental safeguards for areas containing critical systems and storage infrastructure.

08

Continuity and backup

Business continuity and disaster recovery processes address disruptions affecting critical systems, infrastructure and operations. Business-critical information is backed up under controlled processes, access to backups is restricted, and sensitive backups are protected according to applicable security and client requirements.

09

Applications and services

Where applications or digital services form part of the production environment, security requirements extend to application configuration, hosting, access control, secure communications, logging and security testing.

Incident response

Incident response and continuous security management

  1. 1Detection
  2. 2Analysis
  3. 3Escalation
  4. 4Containment and response
  5. 5Preservation of relevant evidence
  6. 6Remediation
  7. 7Corrective action

DIGI MEDIA maintains documented incident-response procedures covering both cybersecurity and content-security incidents.

Incident handling includes root-cause analysis, lessons learned and preventative measures designed to reduce the likelihood of recurrence. Affected clients and business partners are informed when required, according to the nature of the incident and applicable contractual requirements.

Security does not end with an assessment. Controls are supported by ongoing risk management, access reviews, monitoring, vulnerability management, patching, security training, change management, continuity planning and periodic review as technologies, threats, business processes and client requirements evolve.
