1. Introduction
This Cookie Policy explains how SIA “Digi Media” (“Digi Media”, “we”, “us”) uses cookies and similar technologies on our website www.digimedia.studio (the “Website”).
It should be read together with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we process personal data more generally, and our Terms of Service.
Strictly necessary cookies are set automatically because the Website cannot function without them. All other cookies are set only if you give consent through the banner shown on your first visit. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time — see Section 6.
2. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your device so it can remember your actions and preferences between pages and visits.
We also use technologies that work in a similar way:
- Pixels and tracking tags — small pieces of code that record that a page was loaded, used mainly for measurement
- Local storage — data held in your browser rather than in a cookie file, often used by embedded video players
- Embedded third-party content — video players and fonts loaded from another provider’s servers, which may set their own cookies
In this Policy, “cookies” covers all of the above.
Cookies differ by who sets them and how long they last. First-party cookies are set by digimedia.studio; third-party cookies are set by another provider whose content or service appears on our pages. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain for a defined period.
3. Why we use cookies
- To keep the Website secure and functioning correctly
- To remember your cookie preferences, so you are not asked on every page
- To serve pages faster through caching
- To understand how visitors use the Website and where they encounter difficulty
- To allow embedded videos and showreels to play
4. Cookies used on this Website
4.1 Strictly necessary
Required for the Website to operate. These are set on the basis of our legitimate interest and cannot be switched off.
| Purpose | Set by | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Session management while you browse | WordPress | Session |
| Checking whether your browser accepts cookies | WordPress | Session |
| Interface preferences for logged-in administrators | WordPress | Up to 1 year |
| Storing your cookie consent choices | CookieAdmin (our consent tool) | 6–12 months |
| Page caching, to reduce loading time | SpeedyCache | Session – 1 month |
| Security and abuse prevention | Hosting and security layer | Session |
4.2 Functional
Set only with your consent. These improve usability but are not essential.
| Purpose | Set by | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| Preventing duplicate form submissions and retaining entered data | Elementor | Session – 1 month |
| Page-builder display settings | Elementor | Session |
| Video player preferences and playback state | YouTube | Session – 6 months |
4.3 Analytics
Set only with your consent. These help us understand how the Website is used, on an aggregated basis.
| Cookie | Set by | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes individual users | 2 years |
_ga_<container> | Google Analytics 4 | Maintains session state | 2 years |
_gid | Google Analytics 4 | Distinguishes users | 24 hours |
_gat | Google Analytics 4 | Limits the rate of requests | 1 minute |
We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation enabled, and we do not use the data to identify individual visitors.
4.4 Marketing
Set only with your consent. Where advertising or remarketing tags are active, they allow us and our advertising partners to measure campaign performance and show relevant advertising on other platforms. The current list of active marketing tags is reflected in the consent banner’s marketing category, which you can accept or reject independently of the other categories.
4.5 Embedded content
Some pages load content from third-party servers. When this happens, your IP address and browser information are transmitted to that provider, which may also set its own cookies.
| Provider | Content |
|---|---|
| YouTube (Google) | Showreels and portfolio video |
| Google Fonts | Website typography |
We use privacy-enhanced embedding where the provider supports it.
5. Third-party providers and international transfers
Several of the providers named above are established outside the European Economic Area, principally in the United States. Where cookie data is transferred outside the EEA, the transfer is protected by an adequacy decision of the European Commission — including the EU–US Data Privacy Framework for certified recipients — or by Standard Contractual Clauses, as described in our Privacy Policy.
We do not control the cookies set by third parties. For information on how those providers use the data, please consult their own privacy notices.
6. Managing your cookie preferences
Through our banner. On your first visit you can accept all cookies, reject all non-essential cookies, or choose categories individually. You can reopen these settings at any time using the cookie settings link in the Website footer. Withdrawing consent is as straightforward as giving it, and does not affect processing carried out beforehand.
Through your browser. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, under “Cookies”, “Privacy” or “Site data”. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may prevent parts of the Website from working, including the contact and quote forms.
Advertising opt-outs. Independently of our banner, you can limit interest-based advertising through your Google or Meta account ad preferences, or through industry tools such as the European Interactive Digital Advertising Alliance’s Your Online Choices platform.
7. Changes to this Cookie Policy
We may update this Policy when the technologies used on the Website change, or when the law or regulatory guidance changes. The current version is always published at www.digimedia.studio/cookie-policy with the date of the last update. Where a change requires your consent, we will ask for it again.
