Certificates
At Digi Media Academy, every learning experience is designed to be practical, industry-based and clearly documented. Depending on the course format, participants receive either a Certificate of Participation or a Certificate of Completion issued by Digi Media.
For the majority of courses, certificates are issued under non-formal education programmes authorised by the Riga City Education, Culture and Sports Department’s RIIMC Commission. This means that the programme has been formally submitted, reviewed and authorised as a non-formal education programme.

What kind of certificate will I receive?
The type of certificate depends on the course, its duration and its requirements.
CERTIFICATE OF PARTICIPATION
A Certificate of Participation confirms that you attended a Digi Media Academy course, workshop, masterclass or training session.
It is usually issued for shorter formats, introductory workshops, professional masterclasses or activities where attendance is the main requirement.
CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION
A Certificate of Completion confirms that you have completed the full learning programme and met the course requirements.
This may include participation in all required sessions, practical tasks, exercises, final assignments or other course-specific requirements.
Authorised programmes
Non-formal education programmes authorised by RIIMC
Digi Media has received authorisation for a range of non-formal education programmes in the media, sound, voice, video and audiovisual localisation fields.
These programmes cover practical industry-related skills such as:
- video production and editing;
- podcast production;
- voice-over and dubbing;
- sound design and studio sound;
- subtitling;
- audiovisual localisation;
- accessibility and subtitles for deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences;
- machine translation post-editing and quality control.
The authorised programmes allow Digi Media Academy to provide structured learning experiences that combine professional media practice with clear learning outcomes and documented participation.

Practical and industry-based learning
Digi Media Academy courses are not only theoretical. They are based on real professional workflows used in media production, audiovisual localisation, sound, voice recording, subtitling and digital content creation.
Participants learn through practical exercises, demonstrations, real examples and guided tasks. Depending on the course, they may work with scripts, subtitles, audio, video, microphones, recording equipment, editing tools, localisation formats or digital production workflows.
