1. Recording studio physics and hardware — 2 h

Studio architecture and acoustics; condenser and dynamic microphones; audio interfaces, preamps and routing; microphone placement.

Sample rate, bit depth and buffer size; DAW interface; session templates; gain staging and file organization.

Destructive vs non-destructive editing; crossfades; manual and semi-automatic click/noise removal; comping best takes.

EQ, compression, de-esser and limiter; spatial effects for narration and dubbing; commercial voice processing.

Lip-sync vs voice-over; video layer and timecode sync; matching voice space to the visual environment; full fragment integration.

Loudness standards, LUFS and True Peak; bouncing, format conversion and metadata; final technical validation.

Theory test; independent studio task; final work analysis and course wrap-up.
